 NZXT Guardian 921 review

By: Hilbert Hagedoorn Edited by John A. Johnsen | Published: August 18, 2009

Final words and verdict,

Though we are fashionably late with this review as the chassis is already available on the market for many moon cycles, we do feel it was worth reviewing this chassis. With the Guardian 921, NZXT manages to bring a very affordable chassis to the market that has a nice design. It's not overly done or complex in any way and that apparently in this timeframe seems to work out really well.

The highlight of the chassis of course is the overall design of it. It definitely hints back to the 2004 model, yet has improved so much for the better. The round curves, the little touches of blue lighting. And then the overall handy things like for the bigger part a tool less design. Inside there's enough space to work in, and handy of course is the fact that you can install kit like HDD's, opticals and say a graphics card or two without the need to use even so much as a screwdriver.

Now I'm not saying the chassis is perfect, of course not ..the materials used are a little flimsy.. but you know what, it's okay and sufficient. See, the NZXT Guardian 921 can be found on e-tail for a really fair price, and that justifies the little intricacies we are missing, like a removable motherboard tray.

I stated it already, pricing means everything to this chassis. Typically the price you'll pay for this chassis would be roughly 79 USD, I was able to spot it on Newegg for as little as 59 USD after a rebate. For that you get a whole lotta design, a nice too free chassis with decent cooling performance and noise levels that are just fine.

So yes, all things considered, I give my two thumbs for the NZXT Guardian 921.
