MSI GTX 460 1024MB Cyclone

Let me introduce the graphics card tested today to you. Above packaging, MSI's standard design. The card is well packaged and safely transported.

MSI GTX 460 1024MB Cyclone

Above you can see the card tested, this is the GeForce GTX 460 1024MB model. The card comes with a basic bundle, no additional game software or anything. Good news on the overclocking side, voltage tweaking with AfterBurner software is supported, and as our overclock demo will show... we can get this puppy even over 900 MHz on the core if we apply additional fan RPM. Otherwise you'll end at roughly 850~890 MHz.

So 675 MHz is the default reference clock frequency on the core... this one is clocked at 725 MHz for you. The memory remains clocked at 3600 MHz though.

The cards are build with high-quality rated components (stronger, higher quality, better heat levels), a nice black PCB and of course the eye-catching cooler, which works really well, though is a tad more noisy than the 768MB Cyclone SKU. More on that later though.

As you can see, the card is equipped with two dual-link DVI connectors and a mini-HDMI connector.

Especially when overclocking, it shows more muscle compared to the reference design cooler. Here the front side, as stated two dual-link DVI connectors and a mini-HDMI connector for all your monitor and Full HD loving features.
