MACS MA-8200 TEC Peltier VGA cooling

By: Hilbert Hagedoorn | Edited by  | Published: November 30, 2006

The Cooler Itself

Okay enough of the technical gibberish. Let's have a look at the product. Below you can see the bundle. The cooler we tested comes under the name M-Sorceress ...  yeah I'll leave out the jokes ;)

You'll find the cooler itself to be large. It's basically a Peltier unit with heat pipe construction to remove the heat. The heat is guided to cooling ribbons where no less than two fans blow over these ribbons. Obviously the cooler comes with all materials needed inclusive are a screwdriver, mounts screws, retention bracket and thermal paste. On the note of thermal paste .. if you have some lying around from Arctic silver or something then please use that as the supplied thermal paste is cheap rubbish which i';ll now refer to as "goop".
