Overclocking

At BIOS level there's a lot going on, unfortunately we could not get much more out of the system other then default specs. We where able to push our 2.8 GHz Athlon FX 62 dual-core processor towards 3 GHz stable, but that was really it.

In the BIOS you can configure a whole lot though, some examples:

  • DRAM Cas Latency, trcd, tras can all be set within the DRAM configuration page.
  • LDT Bus Freq. commonly known as HT multiplier can be set to 5x,4x,2x,1x
  • CPU CLK can be set from 200 to 440MHz
  • DRAM Clk can be set to run in ASync mode.
  • PCIe clk can be set to 100 or fixed at anything between 100 to 200MHz.
  • CPU Vcore voltage can be upped to 1.550v
  • VDIMM can be set up to 2.15v NB chipset voltage can be set to either 1.25v or 1.30v
  • CPU Vcore 7 Shift allows CPU Vcore voltage to be increased further with this option.

This is a run of the mill mainboard, it was not designed to do what we Guru's like to do; massive tweaks. None the less, the mainboard provides at BIOS level all the tools needed for decent tweak should your hardware support it. Again, a lot of features can be found here at this amazingly low priced mainboard.
