Coptyright Guru3D.com 2006In today's review we'll be having a look at a new product from His again. Last week we took an in-depth peek at their really lovely Radeon X1900 XT, this time around we are reviewing the more affordable X1800 GTO which became available recently. As most of you know I'm quite fond of the X1800 GTO for several reasons. It's a mid range product, affordable, usually quite overclockable and thus offers heaps of performance. Since it's a HiS product you can also opt for the all new ICE3 version, a huge cooling solution which is now into it's third revision and is no longer made by Arctic Cooling. We'll discuss the ICE3 cooling solution in detail over the next couple of pages of course as it is one of the hot... or better yet, "cool" options for this graphics card.

So here we are my friends, a review on HiS' latest 12-pipe mid-range product based on the X1800 silicon from ATI, which quite frankly is a very credible graphics card as you'll learn in this article. The product offers up-to twice the performance of the X1600 Pro yet carries a pricetag of sub 249 USD. This model from HiS is roughly tagged at 189 USD. An interesting price for sure as it was lowered just last week. In both price and performance it's now 100% targeted at NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT graphics cards.

With that being said I'd like to invite you to hit the next page where we'll start off with a little technical information on the new Radeon X1800 GTO, discuss it's pricing followed by a little photo shoot, after which we'll startup a large benchmark session to see how well it behaved performance wise. And yes, today we'll include the benchmark results from that mighty title Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (a.k.a. GRAW). By using FRAPS we can offer you a decent selection of benchmarks from the newer titles.

Does that sound interesting ?  Good .. next page please.
