Gigabyte P67A-UD4 Sandy bridge motherboard Sneak Peek

Gigabyte P67A-UD4 motherboard previewHo-ho-ho - the next p67 gets in line for another exclusive Santa Sandy Bridge preview (minus the pun) !

So as you guys know early January 2011 Intel is to launch Sandy Bridge based processors. New Intel processors always come with a new motherboard chipset to support them. The P series motherboard chipsets (codename Cougar point) are performance series without any integrated graphics connectivity, the H series of course vice versa.

In today's article we'll show you a new offering from Gigabyte as we'll preview their upcoming P67A-UD4 Sandy bridge ready motherboard. Now since the processors and chipset itself are still under NDA we can not disclose nor discuss them.

We however can show you the motherboard and what Gigabyte is trying to do here. You'll notice a very impressive motherboard loaded with features and technologies, but the one thing striking us immediately .. Gigabyte stepped away from the baby blue coloring schema, finally !

Never ever has a Gigabyte motherboard looked this cool with the all new matte black finish and dark design.

This motherboard is using a 12+2 phases design cooled by passive grey heatsinks. Of course features like SATA 6G and USB 3 are available as well, and guess what, the board supports SLI and Crossfire, albeit in a x8:x8 configuration. There is a more to be found with three additional PCIe x1 slots and two traditional PCI slots.

Have a peek and then head onwards to the next page, where we'll dive into a photo shoot of the Sandy Santa bridge motherboard, which is starting to look more and more impressive with each P67 motherboard review we publish.
