Under SKU codename ZT-40402-10P Zotac sent in the reference clocked GeForce GTX 460 armed with 1024MB of gDDR5 memory. Interesting though is the cooler, which like pretty much any board partner apparently uses, is non reference. As our tests will show, that brings only decent results. The bundle that Zotac offers is great as you'll get the usual suspects like 6-pin PEG power converters, adapters, driver CD, manual but also a free full game as Prince of Persia the Forgotten Sands is included with this bundle, to offer a little more value. We like that very much.

A lot of connectivity can be spotted on this GTX 460 1GB; two dual-link DVI connectors, one HDMI and one Display Port driver. It will be interesting to see what all these connectors will do for cooling performance as the exhaust is kind of blocked that way. But if the card remains under 75 degrees C, then we're all good. The nice thing about the cooling design is that heat is dumped outside (exhaust) of the PC.

As you can see, this is a non-reference cooler, which puzzles me a little -- it looks very much like the one from the GTX 465/470 to be honest. We'll of course look into noise levels in a later stage of this article. Nice black PCB, two-toned with yellow... yeah it's a good looking card alright.

When we flip the card around we can see that this is a reference PCB. Again we spot one SLI finger for a maximum of two cards set up in SLI.

Once we flip the card around we see the two 6-pin power PEG headers nicely located at the rear. The card is small so that position definitely has my preference. As stated, the card is reference in every way, the clock frequencies for core/shader domains as such are 675/1350 MHz with a 3600 MHz memory data rate (gDDR5/256-bit).

The warranty is the standard 2 years plus another 3 years if registered online on the ZOTAC site, a total of 5 years, which is awesome.
