 GeForce GTX 280 review

GeForce GTX 280 - GeForce GTX 200 Series

Carefully hidden behind a rubber strap, two SLI fingers. So if you really want to go nuts, two SLI fingers can get you three-way SLI.

Hardly noticeable, but the behind the small plastic cap I just removed is a SPDIF input. Basically you can lead an SPDIF wire from your soundcard or mainboard towards the GeForce card and then output sound through HDMI. It's a bit messy and more of a patch rather than a solution. ATI's Radeon 3000 series definitely have a better approach on this,

Now this is probably the worst photo I took, but do you see that fuzzy grey area in the middle? That's the actual GPU, depending on your monitor it might even be close to real size, roughly 5.5 CM wide. That's huge!

The GeForce GTX 280 needs to be connected to both a 6-pin and 8-pin power supply connector. Your power supply should rate a minimum of 500-550 Watts.

The last photo before we close down the PC, and startup our benchmark session.
