With a little research into the current audio landscape it seem that more and more people are moving to external audio systems for their PC audio tasks.  We have been getting a great deal of emails in the Guru3D.com audio lab asking for more reviews and looks at upcoming external products.

Since we like to keep our readers happy and offer reviews that are exciting to read and always on the cutting edge, we have been working towards offering more external gear reviews for those interested.

When discussing external audio solutions, DAC�s and signal converters, you will always come up with topics such as jitter and other negative aspects which can be factors within these types of external systems. 

When looking to the current external products available on the market we see various USB to S/Pdif converters of varying quality.  These products come in very handy for laptop use and some prefer to use a USB to S/Pdif based system for their DAC�s.

Some of these converter products offer jitter reduction, which can help improve the signal quality feeding your DAC which helps improve the overall quality of your external system.

According to Firestone Audio, their Bravo Digital Processor can convert USB to S/Pdif and also cleans and �reclocks� the S/PDIF signal producing a superior signal for your analog to digital converter.  We have been working with many different S/Pdif based products in the Guru3D Audio Lab for quite awhile now  so we are excited to have a look at the Bravo and use it for some testing.
