EZ PowerSupply Tester 2

Model No.EZPST-2
Info: casebuy.com.tw
Price: ~14 USD

EZ PowerSupply Tester 2Today we have a quick review on something I stumbled onto recently. We'll be reviewing some products from a company called Casebuy. You guessed it already, they sent in a case to review. But along with it they shipped this tiny little device that, according to Casebuy, I just had to look at.

Funny and clever for sure. When you build a new gaming rig and buy a new power supply for that SLI or Crossfire of yours, then you never know if your PSU is working as it should be. Also, the more advanced tweakers among us tend to fry a PSU every now and then *cough* never happened to me, honestly!!

I've been stating over and over, do not underestimate the importance of a good power supply. And once you bought a good one, wouldn't it be convenient to actually test it before installing? Can you risk to installing a damaged or defective unit on that spanking new high-end mainboard with a thousand dollar FX-57 processor and those two gorgeous SLI/Crossfire 1200 USD graphics cards setup?

Suffice to say that most of us would like to quickly test a PSU before installing it, or after you smelled a burning sensation from that PSU, and want to investigate. Here's where Casebuy comes in. For a few bucks you can buy this little EZ Power Supply Tester 2. Honestly the name says it all, it does exactly that and nothing more.

Seated in blue brawny anodized aluminum, the EZ Power Supply Tester allows you to check the power from your 20 pin or newer model 24 pin motherboard connector, 8pin, 6pin, 4pin and SATA connections you can check all voltage rails. LED indicators let you know if power is being supplied on each voltage rail. Last but not least, a master PG LED informs you of the overall result, on is good and off, well let's just say you do not want to connect the PSU to the rest of your PC.

Basically all you do is connect your PSU to current, use the tester on it and if the PSU is still alive you'll hear a small beep. Then the little LEDs on the tester will display what lines are working and in relation to that if the voltage is correct the LED will be on/off.

Features:

  • Case Material:Aluminum
  • Dimensions:89x63.7x17.5mm
  • Characteristic:Light weight and Pocket size
  • Thickness :1.0mm
  • Features:PG Auto Warning,LED show each output voltage circs
  • Use in Standard ATX Power Supply
  • NW:11.0KG,GW:12.0 KG,Cuft:1.0,100 pcs/CTN

Simple stuff, yet so convenient.

Let me show you a couple of photo's of the product and then benchmark the bejezus out of it, oh no, that's not possible eh? Ah well, a pictorial will have to be sufficient then. Follow me please.
