So before we begin on our conclusion there's one more thing we wanted to show you, have a peek at a video we took during the LN2 process. Slight remark, the video was taken before some of the charts changed as we did several other benchmark runs. But you'll get the overall idea.

Well, we hope you liked the video. We didn't do too many benchmarks as guess what... a lot of software does not like and/or support 24 CPU threads.

Well, it's not that this article was about synthetic benches anyway, it was more an overall experience with the one goal we had set, and that was to break a 3DMark Vantage score. We succeeded in that for sure, over 60k points in the overall P-score does not suck.

The SR-2 enabled Beaux to reach the top 10 best overclockers in the world according to HWBOT, meaning this project lifted Bodar's status towards position 8. Also two world records were shattered, (at the time of writing) both wPrime 32M and 1024M overall world records have been established.

Congrats to the man, this article has been one hell of a ride when it comes to time, performance and resources.

What to say about the SR-2? Well, we love it... seriously, we love it. The performance gains that this motherboard offers are simply flabbergasting. Next to that, this board was built for one reason only, to shatter records, and it does that in a fashionable way. The BIOS could be better in some segments, but for a dual-clocked motherboard, it simply is the best out there. We had no problems with weirdness and stability and that's just wonderful and nearly exceptional considering what you've just seen.

What is also exceptional is obviously the sheer amount of money in total you need to spend on a setup like this. The four GeForce GTX 480 graphics cards, PSUs, the processors, the memory... in hindsight looking back at the overall expense of the motherboard, the 599 USD spent on the SR-2 actually seems cheap. But yeah, this is X-factor stuff and intended only for the true enthusiast like... 0,001% of you guys.

Obviously, the board is not just designed for the pro-overclockers, I can see some scenarios where you need massive horsepower, like transcoding and workstation rendering environments. Regardless of all the uncomfortable stuff like expenses and equipment, we had a hell of a ride and loved every single minute of it.

A project like this equals riding a fast race car on a closed circuit. It's dangerous, ridiculously fast... but it's the thrill of a lifetime. And with that sentiment I'd like to close this article.
