 Enermax Liberty 620 Watt PSU

The Verdict.

I stated in a recent PSU review already: Buying yourself a power supply these days is a harder task then you'll originally think. This is why you see more and more PSU reviews on Guru3D.com

So then ... how much capacity do you need? What kind of system are you building? How much money are you willing to spend on a quality PSU? Should it be SLI/Crossfire capable with 2x 12 volt rails? Should it be near silent? Should it be aesthetically pleasing? Would you like to invest in absolute stability? Do you hate "ordinary" wiring ? These are just a few factors in your decision and they are all related to the purchase of a PSU. With these reviews, we hope to help you a little in that choice.

Today's tested PSU is a high-end PSU and it most certainly behaved that way. Throughout our tests we were only able to measure really tiny fluctuations with the PSU not being bothered at all. You know, there's a very simple trick to monitor if your PSU is having a hard time dealing with the load. The cooling fan is monitoring heat in the PSU, it'll spin faster when temperature (and thus load) builds.

Guru3D.com Editors Choice AwardThe Liberty however did that with absolutely no bother at all. We gave it a good kick in the proverbial you know what, and it took it like a man. It's a 2 KG little gem.

I really could not find any disadvantages other then the price. It's most certainly not cheap as it'll cost you roughly 175 USD. But really, see of it as a good investment rather then an expense. It'll last years and it's really good quality material you are looking at.

The PSU is glorious and more than capable enough in many ways. I just love the modability of the cables as it cleans up the interior mess of your PC and will make it really nice and tidy. If you are in the high-end segment looking for a PSU, then the Liberty 620 can be an obvious choice for you.

Our thanks go out to Enermax for the opportunity to study this power supply.
