You know, whenever a budget segmented product is to be found, there's ECS. But since ECS is trying get a more reach in the enthusiast market, I wasn't surprised to see them release the product as shown today.
A mainboard in the 125-140 USD range, yet ECS style - with a bucket load of features like integrated graphics, HDMI connector, passive cooling, 8-channel sound, dual GigE ethernet, Crossfire ready ... and decent tweakability.
Obviously I am talking about a mainboards based on AMDs latest 790GX chipset. A mainboard chipset that proofs its strength and by all means is really fun to work and play around with. When you plant the two chips from AMD on a mainboard from ECS, they'll try to do some more stuff. So that's we'll be focusing at today.
The product is called A790GXM-A, is based obviously on the 790GX chipset from AMD, yet comes with the luxuries of ECS, as this is their "Black Series" products.
Let's have a peek at what ECS has brought to our doorsteps today and put it through the Guru3D test lab trenches.
