 CoolIT FreeZone CPU cooler review

The Freezone Cooler Itself

Okay enough of the technical gibberish. Let's have a look at the product. First thing you'll notice when you open up the box is that the Freezone is an all-in-one liquid cooling system. You name it, tubes, the pump, and the fan are all pre-assembled plus filled with coolant.

So as explained; in contrast to most water-cooled products, the Freezone doesn't use a radiator. Instead, it uses its proprietary Chiller module. Simply explained, heat is drawn away from the CPU by the solid copper water-block (Fluid Heat Exchanger (FHE)) and dissipated into the coolant where it heads back into the Chiller module. In that "Chiller" module we'll find six thermoelectric coolers (TECs, or peltiers), which draw the heat out of the back of the unit via the exhaust fan, cooling down the coolant in the process.

Let's have a quick peek into the specs and then dive into a pictorial where we'll explain everything (including the installation)  guided by photo's.
