The Domino A.L.C Installation

CoolIT Domino A.L.C.

Unfortunately to get the Domino installed the first thing you need to do is to remove your motherboard. A backplate needs to be inserted for the Domino ALC to be secured onto. Backplates are included for Socket 775, AMD AM2/AM2+ and Core i7. Also, please clean any thermal paste residue from your CPU prior to installation.

Here you are looking at the mounting bracket from the CPU block. A little bit annoying, but the cooler is pre-fitted for Core i7 processor. For socket 775 processors (Core 2) we had to remove the C-clip you are looking at, and place the nut into the lower hole. Then we had to secure the C-clips again, all four of them.

Once that task was done you should mount the motherboard back into your PC chassis. Then it's just a matter of simply mounting the CPU block by screwing it down onto that backplane we just installed. We can now install the radiator (main unit).
