 CoolIT Domino A.L.C. review

CoolIT Domino A.L.C.

Do you see that dent on the right side. That's actually the easy to reach button. Here you can select any of the three performance modes (Low / Medium / High). Notice the tubing ? It's a corrugated tubing that supposedly reduces liquid loss through the material. Each and every Domino ALC unit is tested for leaks before it leaves the production facility.

Here's where we stumble into the upper side of the CPU block. Tubing nicely prefitted, and coolant is already inserted into the unit for you. The coolant is a mixture of 25% Propylene Glycol with a comprehensive anti-corrosion package to ensure there will never be any performance reduction due to build-up or inter-metallic reaction. And yes, these are the words courtesy from CoolIT.

BTW notice the black cups over the screws ? They are there to prevent you from slipping away and damage the motherboard. I like these small subtleties. Next to performing well, that's a good looking block. Also noteworthy ...

Thermal paste is pre-applied for you as well; the block itself is near mirror finished and thus flat. Installing the CPU block is fairly easy. The mounting is spring-loaded. Anyway, let's have a look at the installation.
