Computex 2008: Day 3 - The man with the hammer

XFX technology

And then we arrived at the scenes of XFX. XFX had next to our meeting a small press announcement which we attended. So basically they had a booth in the form of a vault. And only people invited where allowed in. Inside there was a night-club theme going on with a pool table and everything. Pretty cool booth, yet it also sends away people who where merely interested as they could not gain access or were just shy.

Once the door unlocked, two models came out, handcuffed the invitees and got them into the vault. the horror coughs

At the inside three new products were presented. The first being this nForce 750a SLI mainboard, with the a for AMD of course. According to XFX a custom design with nice overclocking features. The mainboard looks great, good design, black PCB, XFX green DIMM and PCIe slot. Quality MOSFETs and heatpipe based cooling. Yeah nice.

The second product they released is an GeForce 8300 MCP based mainboard, thus integrated Hybrid graphics compatible, GF 8300 GPU unit and again a very l33t design. They did not have the precise specs at hand yet once the final press releases are out we'll post something about it. Boards like these typically mean value.

Last but not least, the semi-budget GeForce 9600 GSO. Now by itself an interesting card for the money, this however is the XXX edition, meaning much higher clocks. It's clocked near 700 MHz and again here I need to check the final specs soon.

Well since we are at XFX ... here are the three new products again, stop staring at those belly-buttons !
