 Computex 2008: Day 2 - Moving onwards

ECS

We always visit ECS as they are a real good partner for Guru3D.com + they just make kick ass products at an affordable price, I mean how can you go wrong with that, eh?

ECS had a LOT on display, yet for bandwith reasons I am capping all manufacturers to ~5 photo's (we could easily make a 200 page article). Above the ... yep there it is again, GeForce 9600 GT. Now the reason why I am including it is the fact that if you look at the sticker, you'll notice a game. Ubisoft Vegas 2. Correct, ECS is starting to bundle full games with their products.  Very nice to see as that brings in additional value to your purchase.

Seen that one before haven't you ? The barebone HTPC that might become pretty popular, at least I hope so. Looks great, flexible upgradable hardware, why not? I think arround August it'll become available on the market.

Now at first sight this might be a boring picture, but look again .. it's called the 945GCT-CI. And though the name is confusing, that's the first actual product I spotted with Intel's Atom processor. This model had the 1.60 GHz version. It sports an FSB up-to 533 Mhz, DDR2 obviously also 533 MHz, 100 Mbit ethernet, high-def audio ... quite frankly..  that's a very sexy piece of gear.

AMD Phenom time, this is the nVIDIA GeForce 8100 based 9M-A. Don't go 'huh' ? The GeForce part is the mainboard chipset with integrated graphics solution.

Last but not least, ECS is also working on a graphcis card series combined with watercooling. It's not exactly a secret they are partnering up with Thermaltake on that one. I'm not sure if this one will reach the market, we'll just have to wait and see I guess.

Now then, ECS had a lot more to show, specifically some stuff behind the scenes which I can't show you (boohoo) yet also their extensive line of 'Black series' mainboards. Since we review most of them (in fact we have 2 or 3 pending for a review) we'll show you everything you need to know about it in the articles that will be released in the near future.

Thanks to ECS for their kindness and help. A great company to work with.
