This is the final design of the Neural Impulse Actuator. The concept behind the device you see above is this; the headband has a three-fold of sensors across the front, and those sensors read electrical impulses in various frequency ranges, which equate to a number of different facial movements and—so it would seem, at least—patterns of thought. The headband is easily connected to to a USB port (original idea was the outdated serial port) and OCZ has developed a new, multithreaded software layer that uses DirectX to process inputs.

Simply put, you assign a certain brainwave to a gaming function after you calibrated and have setup the device.

It's really working with the power of my mind I walked forwards tilted to side, with a wink of my eyebrows I fired the gun, and when I relaxed / concentrated I stopped walking. Making a photo and playing UT 3 however resulted in me crashing into the floor, Funny how the mind works eh ? :)

Quite honestly, it's a little scary at first, but the concept is proven and working as far as I'm concerned. I'm not sure how intensely serious you can game with it, yet see it within he same concept as for example the Wii experience. A totally new form of the gaming experience. And the good thing, you can sit still. I think in the end the device will end up to assist you in your gaming experience, yet will not solely be a "mouse" kind of gadget.

OCZ promises that average users will be able to begin to use the device within hours after some initial practice. Then the only thing left to do is hone their skills in the game world arenas. Some may even find the device useful in non-gaming desktop applications, despite its primary focus on gaming. The device, which goes into production next week, should retail for $300 USD.

And should the concept fail, load up some lie-detector software, same technology guys .. same technology ;)
