 CeBIT 2004 Editorial

By: Hilbert Hagedoorn Edited by  | Published: March 23, 2004

As always Gainward had some nice stuff to show. We'll simply browse through the photo's combined with comments a bit.

GeForce FX Watercooled

GeForce FX Watercooled

GeForce FX heatpipe (passive) cooled, they also call this 'the brick' this thing is just huge !

Here's a photo from the side, heatpipe cooled (SilentFX). Completely passive and thus no noise. I'd say it weighs around a pound or two !

Gainward also had a nice setup showing off watercooled products. Innovatek is handling the watercooled products for Gainward. That funny looking blue thing on top is actually a passive radiator. Fun stuff. Gainward is focusing more and more on watercooling as it's getting tad more interesting for the consumer.

Small hint, when the CeBIT has ended prices on their watercooled product will go down bigtime ! Gainward is also expanding their product range with 5.1 headphones called SoundXplosion 5.1 (I'm not not kidding), Music 2 Go 7.1 external audio USB controller and more TV products in the form of Personal Cinema and the new HollyWood@home TV 2 Go USB product and Tv tuner cards. Interesting times for Gainward for sure.
