 CaseBuy A.I-01 series PC case

By: Hilbert Hagedoorn Edited by  | Published: September 9, 2005

The Verdict

Generally the CaseBuy AI-01 series casing is a pretty nice value-entry case, it offers extra features that cannot be found on most normal value ATX cases. Our supplied version of the A.I. case is equipped with no less than 3 fans, of which all of them are blue LED colored, the deep mystified ocean blue Guru3D house color actually. These fans do not make an awful irritating lot of noise yet you can hear them alright. For the silence freaks among us it can be a problem. On the other hand, if you insert a fan controller and set them at 7 volts instead of 12 you'll probably enjoy the silence. Installation wise we encountered no issues whatsoever, everything functioned as advertised except for the front panel bus that CaseBuy forgot to equip by mistake. They send it out before I even noticed it. So there's nothing negative to report on that. A little boobo.

Additionally everything is in the right place and there is plenty of space to work with. If you plan to do some watercooling in the PC then you probably will run into problems as for such a project there really is not much space left. Then there's that fan duct, I like that fan duct. It's a dirt cheap and easy way to get that CPU of yours cooled a little better, a huge plus for the tweakers among us.

Of course .. we always have to do a cool photo of a lit up active fan ;)

The interior is nothing fancy in terms of removable drive bays or screw less designs for that matter. The front bezel surely is a nice and welcome addition and the looks are quite gorgeous. If you do not like black, this series comes in a silver coating also.

So to sum things up, for not a lot of money you'll buy some stylish pre-modded fun for sure, if this style suits your personal preference you'll come to the same conclusion as I will, a very nice product at a very, very attractive price. For the money this is a steal. If you are looking for a nice looking case but with a limited budget, you should have a look at the CaseBuy AI-01 series case.

Don't underestimate low priced products, they can be a lot of fun and value.
