 CaseBuy A.I-01 series PC case

By: Hilbert Hagedoorn Edited by  | Published: September 9, 2005

Right then, as stated the A.I series casing is a budget (entry level) series casing. Once you look at it, it sure doesn't seem to be though. Once you take a closer look at it (and we'll do that in a minute), yeah you can see that it's mostly made of plastic (front bezel). That's not necessarily bad , no sir not at all, but do not expect anodized brushed aluminum or titanium at this price level.

Let's have a look at some specifications. First off the casing has four 5.25”, two 3.5”x2 and four HD bays. The mainboards you can use have to be of the ATX design (funny that BTX still isn't kicking in isn't it?). To be precise Full Size ATX and Micro-ATX will fit perfectly, which is 99% of the mainboards out there. Of course your standard ATX power supply fits perfectly in there (there is no PSU supplied by the way).

Next to all this, there is plenty of cool blue LED cooling in the PC. At the front, a 120mm drive bay fan cools down the HD's and sucks air into the sytem. Then in the rear a 120mm fan and in the windows a 80mm fan with "in this case" ;) a fan duct to cool down the processor.

What's one of most interesting features of the A.I design is its mesh front panel and mesh top cover. This case should be able to keep the inside temperatures pretty low.

As you have seen on the previous page the casing did not travel well. Yet the packaging is good enough to make sure nothing was damaged. The AI case was protected by two pieces of protective sponges, a plastic bag and the side windows protected with plastic wrapping. The whole weight including the packaging is 7.3KGs.

Right let's startup the photo shoot and talk you through this product.
