Brothers In Arms - Hells Highway VGA performance

Developer: Gearbox Software
Publisher: Ubisoft
Category: Shooter

Brothers In Arms - Hells Highway VGA performanceEarlier this year I was attending a press-conference and one of the speakers there was Corinne Yu which at the time was working for Gearbox, now active at Microsoft Game Studio's. That was roughly half a year ago and back then she showed me the first impressions of Brothers in Arms - Hells Highway. Now she's a very intriguingly skilled women and even if the game would suck, she'd probably sell it as she know how to evangelize software and development. Fact is, she is one of the key figured behind the development of the game we take a look at today.

Back then at the press-conference, I was like "wow .. I seriously can't wait for this game" and a couple of months later UPS drops off a package, yay ! Ubisoft send out Brothers in Arms - Hells Highway.

So this weekend I was testing a Philips amBX kit, which works with this game and I just could not stop playing, I seriously wasted my entire weekend on the game. And whenever that happens, I want to try and find nice image quality settings and see how well the game plays versus some very decent settings. yeah, I'm a geek and am not afraid to admit it.

Obviously as most of you guys know, Brothers in Arms - Hell's Highway is based on the Unreal III engine which allows some pretty decent graphics but more importantly, it'll be playable for a very wide scope of graphics cards. So that's what we'll do today.

Since pretty much any modern graphics card can run the game at it's very best image quality settings we immediately enabled all eye candy in this game. Then  I made a selection of fifteen graphics cards and started measuring at a complex level and write down the average frame rate in 1280x1024, 1600x1200, 1920x1200 and 2560x1600.

In short today a performance VGA review on Brothers in Arms - Hells Highway, next page please.
