The Photos

On the next few pages we'll show you some photos. The images were taken at high resolution and then scaled down.

A front shot of the Alpine 64. Here you can clearly see the 2000 RPM, 36CFM fan and oversized heatsink weighing in at 486g.

A shot of the rear. Notice the sleeved cable. A nice touch, as it looks much neater.

A close up of the 'Oscillation Dampeners' present on the fan mount. These help to eliminate any vibrations and thus reduce noise. Also notice the clips have been installed, by simply screwing them in from the top of the product.

A comparison between the Alpine 64 and the AMD stock K8 cooler.

Here you can really see the size difference. But will the size difference transfer into a temperature difference?

A shot of the underside of both heatsinks. The pre-applied thermal paste used on the Alpine 64 there is Arctic Cooling's own MX-1 compound. This means you don't need to worry about applying thermal paste properly as it's done for you. This will help a load of people out.
