TUL (PowerColor) Radeon 3850 512MB GDDR3

AMD ATI Radeon HD 3000 series review

Here's what to look for in the stores if you plan to buy an 3850 from TUL. Now that box reminds me a little on final Fantasy or something ?

In the bundle we see the regulars. Shocking at first, no HDMI dongle is included, and we'll show you why that is on the next photo. TUL is producing a 3850 series of products with custom cooler. Pretty interesting as these ZeroTherm coolers are really good. Also interesting is that the core and memory clocks on this product are slightly higher than the reference products. This card had a 715 MHz core frequency and 1800 MHZ (effective) memory clock frequency. This makes it perform right in-between the reference Radeon HD 3850 and 3870.

Here's where we see one DVI connector, the 7-pin HDTV-out mini-din in the middle, and hey now .. to the upper left we can spot a HDMI connector. Good stuff, manufacturers finally are making that bold move. Also interesting, this PCB seems to differ from the HIS version.

Again, at the back of the card we again see the essential 6-pin power connector. Just hook it up to your PSU and you are good to game.

And the last photo... the card in action. Yes it has a small light emitting diode inside the fan. Looks pretty cool eh ?
