Manufacturer: Albatron
MSRP: € 420

Today it's time for a new product review from the good folks at Albatron, a name on the market that has been growing very rapidly the past few years. See, a while ago they released this really spiffy new graphics card which caught my eye and that I just had to test. Today's review will be all about their GiGi GeForce FX 5950 Ultra, based on NVIDIA's hottest silicon available and armed with 256MB 256-bit memory and a cooling solution that makes your jaw snap this is one tasty product for sure. Oh and if you are wondering about GiGi, see that logo to the right ? That girl is GiGi ;)

It was October the 23rd since NVIDIA launched two new silicons to spice up the competition from ATI. The two product where the GeForce FX 5700 Ultra in the mid-range line-up which you probably know by it's codename NV36. Next to that in the steep 450-500 USD price range, we can see the GeForce FX 5950 Ultra which was developed under codename NV38. Both products simply have more computing power then their predecessors, and the bigger differences are be found in core, memory clock speeds, and the all new cooling solution. Todays product as stated is the GiGi GeForce FX 5950 Ultra, NVIDIA's current flagship.

I'll present you an overview of the new cards with the help of a nice photo shoot, overview of the ForceWare drivers and then of course we'll dig into our benchmark suite where we have tested the card in both RAW and quality setting 8x Anisotropic filtering + Anti aliasing at 4 levels. That's not it though, in the article we are going to compare the new cards with almost all other GeForce FX cards and we'll throw in a couple of popular Radeon 9x00 cards as well. So this will be a very competitive review ...

Next to a quality built PCB, they always do stuff a little different. When you will see the first photo on the product you'll notice the standard green PCB (why not blue?), really kick'ass 3-way cooling solution and ramsinks, guru3d.com stuff.
