ADATA memory

Packaging ... hey we show you everything my man, and now you know what look for in the stores. Courtesy of Guru3D.com, are we cool or what ? -- Seriously though, we always start off with packaging so you know what to look for in the stores -- it's as simple as that really.

ADATA memory

Here we have the two DIMMs after unpacking. Meet A-Data's plus series revision 2.0 DDR3 memory. This is the 4GB 2200 MHz kit = PC3 17600 (!).Nice design, black PCB and red heat spreaders made out of aluminum for optimal heat conductivity. The cooling heatsinks reminds me of the OCZ reapers. This kit can manage latencies of 8-8-8-24 at 1.65 Volts, shweeet!  Especially since they run at a command rate of 1T at that frequency as well.

ADATA memory

Very simple stuff, but the details of the modules can be read from a small sticker. You can spot the SKU number and generic info on there. Also info like latencies are displayed. It's good to see voltages being reported on there as well.

A lot of memory producers lack this info, yet it is so important. Missing on the sticker is the command rate though.
