Hello everyone and welcome to our third and final article for today. Things are hectic here in the office. As you know CeBIT is launching today and pretty much 48 hours before the release time of this article I received no less than eight graphics cards, all to be tested in that 48 hour timeframe. Hey bring em' on .. I life for this stuff.

In these 48 hours a lot has happened and I'm happy to report that you should have a look at the other two articles. Today's product release from ATI though has everything to do with NVIDIA's new product line up.  Over the past 24 hours I was able to whiteness' a massive pricedrop in the X1000 series of graphics cards. It is amazing to see how fierce the competition between the the graphics chipzilla's is. It is even more amazing what impact that has for us consumers. NVIDIA released three new cards but more importantly lowered prices massively in the high-end segment which made ATI follow. And yes I'm really sorry to report this for those affected; if you bought an ATI graphics card last week then chances are that this week they prices have come down 100-150 bucks.

Among the new NVIDIA cards is a new mid-range graphics card, the GeForce 7600 GT and ATI simply needed an answer to this new mid-range product from NVIDIA. So in Monday I received an email from ATI asking if we wanted to take one of the new cards for a quick test spin and if we where able to publish an article on it at the start of the CeBIT, which due today on Thursday the 9th or MArch 2006. As stated I live for this stuff and reviewing graphics cards is my life these days.

So late Tuesday we received that card as well as 7 other cards from team green. So here it is my fellow guru's, a review on ATI latest mid-range product based on the X1800 silicon which quite frankly is a very plausible graphics card as you'll learn in this article.

With that being said I'd like to invite you to hit the next page where we'll start off with a little technical information on the new Radeon X1800 GTO, discuss it's pricing, followed by a little photo shoot after we'll startup a large benchmark session in which we'll compare this card towards NVIDIA's 7600 GT and see how well it behaved performance wide.

Does that sound interesting ?  Good .. next page please.
